We had some illness in both of our homes this week so we were a little late publishing Garage Talk this week. Don’t worry, we had an entertaining show and discussed the pros and cons of sports betting now that it reaches a wider audience in the United States. We also recap NASCAR Roval weekend, “Papaya Rules” drama and updates from our iRacing leagues in this week’s Insider!
Also, can you believe that this week was full episode 150 of Garage Talk? Unreal how far we’ve come since introducing the show in 2023.
NASCAR Roval Weekend, Sports Betting, Papaya Rules Drama | Garage Talk
We’re a little late publishing this week due to illnesses in both of our households, but the show must go on for episode 150!
In this week’s episode of F-R Racing’s Garage Talk, we take a look at NASCAR weekend at the Roval, possible race manipulation, and did D.J. place another +1200 bet on Joey Logano winning in 2025? We dive into the deeper conversation about sports betting, the pros and cons of being able to bet in many states via sports apps versus having to go to Vegas or one of the other few places where sports betting was legal in person. It’s become oversaturated that gambling and odds have taken over as the stats. Is it ruining the sports we watch?
Finally, we close out the show discussing Oscar Piastri fuming post race and cutting off Zak Brown by disconnecting the radio mid pep talk. Is it possible for McLaren to bottle the drivers championship and let Max catch up and win? We discuss.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our @AFSPNational fundraiser! We missed our goal, but still raised $250 for mental health and suicide prevention programs. Your donations will go a long way to saving lives!

Recent Race Results
Race: iRacing Daytona 24
Results: Erik Richardson, Hunter Hughes, Ian Miller, and Tyler Vickery ran in the GTP/Hypercar class for the first time in the Ferrari 499P. The real stars of the show was the rain and the new dynamic track debris system that created chaos all over the track. Numerous accidents led to a P9 in class (of 21) and P33 overall (of 58). We look to bounce back stronger at Sebring in March.
