Tim Cook Flag Wave – GT Podcast

F-R Racing's Garage Talk iRacing Podcast Logo

D.J. and Erik are back and reviewing the results from last week’s Wednesday Night Dash from Iowa Speedway. First, a lot had to be said about Tim Cook’s overly intense or maybe less than enthusiastic figure-eight wave of the checkered flag for the US Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. We break it down and talk about what the Internet thinks about it. Spoiler alert: it’s not good.

Tim Cook Flag Wave, and iRacing Iowa Speedway WND Results

Erik and D.J. are back talking about the Wednesday Night Dash event at iRacing Iowa Speedway.  Both drivers had an off night but due to some luck they walked away from Iowa with a 4th (Erik) and a 5th (D.J.) place finish!  It’s the Halloween episode of the show and D.J. talks about why he’s dressed up as Ryder from Paw Patrol (hint: his kids picked the costume) and Erik talks about playing the role of Colorado Avalanche Captain, Gabriel Landeskog.

Erik was away all weekend and missed the Formula 1 and NASCAR action. However, we just had to discuss the now-infamous Tim Cook checkered flag wave at COTA.  The Apple CEO has been mocked relentlessly for his very serious slow wave of the checkered flag to finish the United States Grand Prix.  We definitely join in the ribbing and discuss.

We talk a little about the NASCAR race at Miami Homestead Speedway, before spending the rest of the time talking our iRacing League at Iowa Speedway. The issues/challenges we’re facing as we develop our skills and abilities are discussed.
