iRacing Daytona 24 Preview – GT Podcast

F-R Racing's Garage Talk iRacing Podcast Logo

Erik and D.J. are back previewing the iRacing Daytona 24 special event and also recapping the first two weeks of Wednesday Night Dash. This episode was recorded and published before the event occurred so as of this post, the event has been completed.

Wednesday Night Dash Recap, iRacing Daytona 24 Hour Race Preview

Erik and D.J. are back this week recapping the first two weeks of Wednesday Night Dash iRacing Series and breaking down Erik’s two wins so far.  In addition to what we look at that went right, we look at what’s going wrong with D.J. so far this season.  We talk about D.J.’s poor tire strategy that cost him at Michigan and while he generally avoided the big mess of wrecks at Talladega, his poor starts on the green flag put him out in no man’s land and cost him a podium spot.

In the second half of the show, we talk about the upcoming Daytona 24 Race on the iRacing platform and the broadcast plan for both D.J. and Erik.  Erik will be fielding a team with former guests Mark Vicars, Hunter Hughes, and a couple of others.  We talk a little about how the team almost fell apart two days before the event and how social media and some friends we’ve made through the sim racing community came together to race with us.
