Erik and D.J. are back with a new announcement, F-R Racing’s Significant Other iRacing Challenge! Our significant others often don’t understand what we do and why we spend so much time training on the iRacing platform. As a result, we’re spending 30 days training our wives who have never used iRacing and likely have never used a racing simulator before a chance to drive the NASCAR Next Gen Cup Series cars around Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Stay tuned for more information including participants, and when the broadcasted event will be (Around May 19th).
WND Recap, Martinsville, IndyCar at Long Beach, and Significant Other iRacing Challenge!
Erik and D.J. return this week and recap the season premiere of Wednesday Night Dash iRacing league, the challenges of switching from NASCAR to GT3 racing, and our race struggles. In addition, we talk about some strategies to get back to the basics of road racing down to the Toyota GR86 and the Mazda MX-5 cup.
In the second part of the show, we talk about the NASCAR weekend at Martinsville, the Craftsman Truck Series running on wet/rain tires, and a boring stage three. We move over to Long Beach to talk about the IndyCar race, the excitement of the road course, and the drama that unfolded from the race.
Finally, we announce a special event, F-R Racing’s Significant Other Challenge! Erik and D.J. have conned their wives into getting into the simulator. They’ll have 30 days to train in a cup car with coaching from D.J. and Erik. After the 30 days, we host a live-streamed event where they’ll race each other at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We’re hoping to create some interest and get our significant others in our activity that we spend a lot of time on.
