We wanted to start this week’s episode by talking about Hurricane Helene and the devastation it has caused to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We have friends we race with every week and supporters of what we do who were directly impacted and we wanted to make sure they know we’re thinking about them. We’ve provided fundraising links below to various charities and relief organizations who are on the ground trying to help people with the long process of getting their lives back in order.
We also discuss the big news that Michael Jordan is suing NASCAR. Yes, you’ve heard that right. Michael Jordan, 23XI co-owner Denny Hamlin, and Front Row Motorsports filed an Antitrust Lawsuit against NASCAR in Federal Court. We discuss.
Hurricane Helene Relief, Michael Jordan Suing NASCAR, Coke vs Pop vs Soda
As we kick off this week’s episode, we want to share our thoughts on the horrific tragedy of Hurricane Helene, especially how hard it hit western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. These communities were not expecting this and the damage has been devastating. Two drivers we race with were directly impacted by the storm and heavy flooding. If you’re interested in donating to one of the many wonderful relief charities working on the long road to recovery, see the links below.
We talk a little about NASCAR and how Michael Jordan, Denny Hamlin, and Front Row Motorsports filed an antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR over the charter agreements. How far will this lawsuit go?
Next, we talk about moving around the country and how that has impacted our accents over the years. We also dive briefly into the Coke vs soda vs pop debate. We also hype some of our upcoming plans for 2025 including our Suicide Prevention Charity race. We’re working on finalizing the date and will have more details soon!
——— We’ve had multiple drivers in our series directly impacted by Hurricane Helene and we know several people who are regular viewers of Wednesday Night Dash that have been directly impacted. Please consider donating to one of the fine organizations working on relief efforts in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas:
