We had a 2026 NASCAR schedule release this week! We were caught off guard by the release, some of the changes (trucks at St Petersburg?!) and some random date changes (Phoenix in mid-October??). But was the timing of the schedule release a distraction from NASCAR regarding a filing in the 23XI/FRM lawsuit? We discuss on Garage Talk. That and a busy week of iRacing on Stadium Scene TV.
2026 NASCAR Schedule Release, iRacing Update, 23XI NASCAR Lawsuit | Garage Talk
On this week’s episode of F-R Racing’s Garage Talk we discuss the release of the 2026 NASCAR schedule including interesting choices like the Dover All Star Race, Watkins Glen in May, and Phoenix fall in mid-October. We also look at the return of Chicagoland Speedway and the surprise announcement of the Craftsman Truck Series heading to St Petersburg for a weekend race with IndyCar!
Next, we get into our busy week of racing on the iRacing platform including a challenging and very competitive IndyCar race at Milwaukee, D.J.’s lucky break leading to a podium finish during Bottom Split, and a good finish at an extremely challenging race at Gateway during Wednesday Night Dash.
Finally, we put on our freelance unlicensed lawyer hats and talk about the latest updates in the 23 XI/FRM vs NASCAR anti-trust lawsuit. What’s the latest, why is NASCAR going after Michael Jordan and was the schedule release timing a distraction from the latest filing?

Recent Race Results
Race: iRacing Daytona 24
Results: Erik Richardson, Hunter Hughes, Ian Miller, and Tyler Vickery ran in the GTP/Hypercar class for the first time in the Ferrari 499P. The real stars of the show was the rain and the new dynamic track debris system that created chaos all over the track. Numerous accidents led to a P9 in class (of 21) and P33 overall (of 58). We look to bounce back stronger at Sebring in March.
