IndyCar Silly Season – F-R Racing Insider

IndyCar Silly Season - GT 146

IndyCar silly season has begun! Whether the IndyCar season ends too early or not is another debate for another day, but on Garage Talk this week we look into the upcoming changes to the IndyCar driver lineup. Oh and after the first week of our Streamers Against Suicide fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), we’ve raised $150 of our $500 goal! Thank you for tuning in and let’s keep going all month!

IndyCar Silly Season Begins, NASCAR & Formula 1 Recaps | Garage Talk

The IndyCar season wrapped up last weekend at Nashville with Josef Newgarden salvaging a bad season with a win. It was his 11th straight season with a win in the IndyCar season. We look back at how the season went, the good, the bad, and how to improve on story telling. What can IndyCar learn from the WWE (no not scripted results).

Next, we move on and discuss the NASCAR weekend from Connor Zilisch’s win in Portland, the “shortcut” through turn 1 and 2, and do they need to change the rule? After that we discuss Chase Briscoe winning back to back Southern 500s with two different teams and two different OEMs. It was an incredibly impressive drive as he looks to build momentum at JGR.

Finally, we do a quick recap of the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix, Isack Hadjar’s impressive drive and first podium finish, to Ferrari and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Also, did Charles LeClerc cause a surge in the birth rate in Italy as a result of winning at Monza in 2024? We look at the hilarious social media claim.

Be sure to tune in to Stadium Scene TV all month as we participate in Streamers Against Suicide, raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention! We’ve raised $150 towards our $500 goal. Learn more and donate here.

Recent Race Results

Race: iRacing Daytona 24

Results: Erik Richardson, Hunter Hughes, Ian Miller, and Tyler Vickery ran in the GTP/Hypercar class for the first time in the Ferrari 499P. The real stars of the show was the rain and the new dynamic track debris system that created chaos all over the track. Numerous accidents led to a P9 in class (of 21) and P33 overall (of 58). We look to bounce back stronger at Sebring in March.
