IndyCar and iRacing – GT Podcast

IndyCar and iRacing are back together!

It’s the first F-R Racing’s Garage Talk for 2024! Despite no actual racing to talk about, we have a lot to discuss! We talk about our own Taka Timmerman’s promotion to F-R Racing’s Business Manager, Wednesday Night Dash returning for a new season, IndyCar and iRacing getting back together after their brief divorce, the Daytona 24 plan for the team, and the AFSP 200!

WND Returns, IndyCar and iRacing returns, Daytona 24 Preview, AFSP 200 Charity Race

Hope your 2024 is starting off well! Erik, D.J. and Taka are back with the first new episode of 2024. We kick off the show by announcing that Taka has now become our Business Manager at F-R Racing. Taka has been working with us providing social media updates during Wednesday Night Dash and working behind the scenes to help grow F-R Racing to what it is today and he’s ready to step in to help us take it to the next level! Wednesday Night Dash is also back after the off-season and we couldn’t have picked a more difficult track to restart with after a long break. Rockingham Speedway is incredibly bumpy and is not very forgiving.

Next, we discuss the upcoming iRacing Daytona 24 and how F-R Racing could be entering three cars, GT3, LMP2, and GTP! We’ll have more details next week as we get ready for the big event!

After that, we discuss the long-awaited return of IndyCar to iRacing! Several experts in the field (and us) criticized IndyCar for signing an exclusive games deal with Motorsport Games only to not deliver much of anything. The iRacing Indy 500 will be back and we’re looking to put two entries into the field. Also this licensing change will result in major changes to the Behind Closed Doors Series. We’ll have more details in the upcoming weeks.

Finally, we are about two weeks away from the AFSP 200 racing money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We’re excited to partner with WJ Muhlfeld Motorsports and the AFSP to host this amazing event. Learn more and join the field at frracingonline.com/afsp200. The event starts at 9:15pm ET on January 27th.
