We’re excited this week for episode 100 of F-R Racing’s Garage Talk. On this special edition of the episode, we sit down with Heather Hadley from the Mazda MX-5 Cup. Heather talks about her late entry into the racing world, how she re-located to North Carolina to become closer to the NASCAR community, and more!
Mazda MX-5 Cup Driver Heather Hadley
We have officially made it to episode 100 of F-R Racing’s Garage Talk and we are very excited today to spend episode 100 sitting down with one of the young talents in motorsport. Mazda MX-5 Cup driver, Heather Hadley joins D.J. and Erik (on the phone) to talk about her career so far and the steps her and her family took to get her where she is today.
First, we talk about her beginnings with indoor karting, moving outdoors, and then to the US Legends Cars series. When she uprooted her life to go to college in North Carolina to get closer to the NASCAR world, she never expected that she would end up driving Mazda MX-5 cars. Finally, we also discuss her work with the great organization, Shift Up Now and how they are helping to promote and grow the number of women involved in motorsports.
Check out Heather as she competes in the Mazda MX-5 Cup at https://www.imsa.com/tvlive with replays on IMSA Live on YouTube.

F-R Racing’s GT Sprint Series
We run a monthly community race in preparation for the various iRacing official events. Stay tuned for the publishing of the final schedule, but the next event will be on May 11th. Most events will be a 15-minute open qualification with a 45-minute sprint session (some are 90 minutes). The events are broadcast on Stadium Scene TV, but are more of a casual environment and will not be scored as an official league.
