This was one of the busiest weeks we’ve had in a very long time and we had some major iRacing frustrations looking back on it. We hosted three races this week for the first time since March, and iRacing had some issues that we had to take to iRacing support. We look at all this plus the week in motorsports during this week’s F-R Racing Insider

iRacing Frustrations & Struggles, NASCAR in Texas, IndyCar at Barber, F1 at Miami
As you know, we record on Wednesday evening after Wednesday Night Dash (on @Stadiumscene ) and this week has been an absolute struggle. You’ve noticed the broadcast did not happen live as scheduled Tuesday night and we ran into some scoring problems (maybe) at the end of Wednesday Night Dash. We get into those struggles on today’s Garage Talk.
First up, we go into the details of how the broadcast fell apart on Tuesday and what D.J. had to do to somewhat rectify the mistake. We have a plan B if the broadcast were to fail, but it’s not ideal. Here’s what we did.
Next, we’ve talked about Magic: The Gathering some on the show and D.J.’s 7 year old kid approached him asking about the cards on his desk and wanting to learn how to play. He ended up telling her that she needs to be a little older, but when is it ok to introduce that to your kids? D.J. thinks about age 10-12. What do you think?
Finally we close out this shorter than usual show with a recap of the weekend in racing, first with IndyCar at Barber, F1 at Miami, and NASCAR at Texas. We go over Erik’s reaction to the finish including Michael McDowell’s questionable blocking, and ultimately it being a Joey Logano win. Be sure to head to https://frracingonline.com/contest and sign up today before June 30th!

Recent Race Results
Race: iRacing Daytona 24
Results: Erik Richardson, Hunter Hughes, Ian Miller, and Tyler Vickery ran in the GTP/Hypercar class for the first time in the Ferrari 499P. The real stars of the show was the rain and the new dynamic track debris system that created chaos all over the track. Numerous accidents led to a P9 in class (of 21) and P33 overall (of 58). We look to bounce back stronger at Sebring in March.
