Christian Horner fired? I guess that’s one way to take the media attention off of Nico Hulkenberg’s first career podium. We discuss those topics, the Chcago Street Race (last one?), IndyCar at Mid Ohio, and a lot more on this week’s F-R Racing Insider.
Christian Horner Fired?! Nico on the Podium?! | F-R Racing’s Garage Talk
Buckle up! It’s a wild week in motorsports, and we’re breaking it all down on this episode of Garage Talk! First up: McLaren go 1-2, but all eyes are on Oscar Piastri, who’s not thrilled about his penalty. Just when it looked like that would dominate the headlines, Nico Hulkenberg storms onto the podium for the first time ever in his long career, a feel-good moment dominating the news cycle… until a few days later when Red Bull drops a bombshell and sacks Christian Horner!
Next, it’s time for Florida Man vs Arizona Man: Round 2! Who did it better? A shoplifter who used a UPS truck as a getaway vehicle or a guy who stole a water sprayer truck and took police on a joyride? Tell us in the comments which one gets your vote! Next, we head to the streets of Chicago to recap the NASCAR action. SVG continues to dominate, while Scott Dixon makes history with a win in his 21st consecutive season, all thanks to a rare mistake from Alex Palou.
Finally, we wrap things up with a look at our upcoming iRacing events… whether you’re a driver or just want to catch the action, we’d love to have you join us on @StadiumScene!

Recent Race Results
Race: iRacing Daytona 24
Results: Erik Richardson, Hunter Hughes, Ian Miller, and Tyler Vickery ran in the GTP/Hypercar class for the first time in the Ferrari 499P. The real stars of the show was the rain and the new dynamic track debris system that created chaos all over the track. Numerous accidents led to a P9 in class (of 21) and P33 overall (of 58). We look to bounce back stronger at Sebring in March.
