IndyCar returns to Phoenix?! That’s a story we’ve heard a little about including reports of pre-season testing over the last few years, but we did not expect it to happen so soon! Granted, this hasn’t been confirmed by IndyCar. D.J. will be there and hopes to see you out there with him!
Hey IndyCar, We Know You’re Listening To Us | Garage Talk
Hello to our friends at IndyCar! We really appreciate the listen! (We’re kidding, I think). With the breaking news this week that IndyCar is likely returning to Phoenix Raceway for the first time in years, D.J. shares his excitement about having another reason to go to the track.
First though, we kick off the show talking about the breaking news that wasn’t, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will be driving for Cadillac F1. This has been largely known, but it is now official. Oh and the announcement video with Keanu Reeves was awesome.
Next, we talk about the improved racing at Milwaukee and Christian Rasmussen’s incredible pass on the high side to win. Is this a comfort thing being the 2nd time at the track, was the high line practice the difference here? Is this the format for good oval racing in IndyCar (minus the recent Iowa races…)
Finally, we talk about NASCAR weekend with Blaney’s run to the top, Alex Bowman’s sigh of relief, and the surprising win with the tandem driving of Connor Zilisch and Parker Kligerman taking the Xfinity win.

Recent Race Results
Race: iRacing Daytona 24
Results: Erik Richardson, Hunter Hughes, Ian Miller, and Tyler Vickery ran in the GTP/Hypercar class for the first time in the Ferrari 499P. The real stars of the show was the rain and the new dynamic track debris system that created chaos all over the track. Numerous accidents led to a P9 in class (of 21) and P33 overall (of 58). We look to bounce back stronger at Sebring in March.
